"Alcohol can negate all that work you do in the weight room.
Lab studies proved that alcohol diminish protein synthesis in rats, which stops muscle growth by preventing the repair of damaged muscles. Now, i know we're not rats but the same thing happens in human body.
Hitting the bottle may also decrease levels of human growth hormone (HGH - which helps the body build muscle)."
